Wednesday - Taekwondo, Nunchaku, Three Section Staff
Made myself a three sectional staff today out of pine. It is a bit wide, but whatever it is the wood I had on hand. Used some chain, although I appear to have lost my extra chain. I'll look for it.
The weapon itself is pretty dangerous to learn how to use, but I can do some basic spins and figure-8s. I need to figure out how to transfer between them.
Practiced wrist rolls with the nunchaku, I can basically continually roll backward for upwards of 10 rolls no problem now. One of the strings broke, but I can't order to MA, so I will hope the rest don't break.
Taekwondo today, did some kicks in the air, mostly sidekicks. Practiced front kicks, punching combos with front kicks, axe kicks, turning kicks, and reverse turning kicks. Did Eui Am at the end, I seem to still remember it. Nice.

Taekwondo today at Giorgio's. Legs were already really tired from lifting, had some trouble but luckily the worst of legs was just stances, we didn't do much kicking. Worked on shifting between stances in one and two step stance changes.

Thursday - Martial Arts
Went to the ERC to practice a bit today. Did some kicking combinations, practiced my sidekicks and backkicks mostly, then some other techniques. Then did some aerials and handsprings. I can do the front handspring without my head now, but it needs work. I will work on it, I need to go up more, not straight down to my hands.

Last black belt of the year, but it was fun. We just messed around with weapons, some acrobatics, and sparring stuff. I got the treasurer position, which is cool. Overall a good time in black belt club, I am excited for next year.

Sunday - Black Belt
Lots of fun today. Started off by sparring light contact with Fogel, he was using two arnis sticks and I was using my bokken. It was a lot of fun. And I think I came out on top for the most part. Then I practiced a bit against Cody using my nunchaku against the bokken, I was jsut practicing defense since I have little control while attacking. I need to work on blocking from the right corner going down.
Then I sparred hand to hand with Nick, Justin, and Cody. Lots of fun, although I need to work on getting hit in the face. (And not getting hit). I will practice that over the summer. For the last (I think) Sunday practice, it was fun. I am glad I got to practice with my weapons.

Thursday - Black Belt
I got my new weapons today! They are pretty good quality considering I paid like $10. I also got some point fighting gloves, although I don't know when I will use them over the summer. I am excited to try the stuff out this Sunday.
I was looking for Kendo schools in the area, and I found two. One is in Acton and the other in Boston, so I don't know what I will do, but I will consider them. I would like to try to go at least once per week.

Friday - Bag Drills, Wrestling, Jiu-Jitsu, Wallruns, Aerials, and Dive Rolls
Went back to the martial arts room late at night with a bunch of guys. Practiced some tornado kicks which were a lot faster than I thought they would be. Did some wallruns, easily reached the ceiling, then some wallruns into flying sidekicks. Practiced some kip-ups, dive rolls, and tried a few more aerials. A girl who did gymnastics showed us some tips on that, but I didn't do it too successfully with what she said. I will practice. Wrestled with Wasser, grappled with Travis. Size and training allowed me to beat both pretty easily. Fun time.
